Questions, answered
Is Pravas an immigration adviser?
No. Pravas checks facts about your documents, such as whether names match or a photo can be read. It doesn't tell you what to decide. When a decision is needed, we connect you with someone the law allows to give advice.
Can Pravas tell me if my visa will be approved?
No. Only Immigration New Zealand decides. Pravas gives a readiness score that measures how complete, clear and consistent your documents are.
Is Pravas part of Immigration New Zealand?
No. Pravas is independent. We use INZ's published rules, and you or your adviser apply to INZ directly.
Which visas will Pravas cover?
At launch, New Zealand visitor visas (including for parents) and student visas. More will follow.
Which languages?
English, Hindi, Punjabi and Gujarati.
What happens to my documents?
They're stored securely and deleted automatically 30 days after your check, unless you ask us to keep them. We never sell your data.
Can my parents use it from India?
Yes. You set up the check, and they send photos of their papers on WhatsApp, in their language.
